Post-Travel Screen Extended

This test is usually done before the six weeks post-travel, and it needs ten days to be completed. the following tests are involved:

  • Hep A IgM Abs, Hep B Ag, Hep C Ag, HIV Duo

Six Weeks Post-Travel Tropical Screen

This test is usually done after the post-travel screen simple and post-travel screen extended have been completed, and it takes ten days to be complete. The following are the tests involved:

  • Echinococcus Antibodies (Hydatid)
  • Malarial Antibodies, Leishmania Antibodies
  • Schistosomal Antibodies (Bilharzia), Amoebic Antibodies
  • Toxoplasma Antibodies IgM, Toxoplasma Antibodies Igg

Enteric Organism Rapid Antigen Detection (done with a stool sample)

It will possibly take 2 days to be complete. The following are the tests involved:

  • Detection of viral, bacterial and parasitic infection with the use of Multiple Real-Time PCR

Viruses

  • Typhus Fever Group (R Prowazekii, R Typhi)
